Notes:
[11]
After much soul searching I have decided to accept this baptism of Sarah's origins. My reservations before now (May 2020) were because she was 6 years older than her husband, George Housley (bap 1765), and because none of her children were named after her parents, since one would expect her mother's uncommon forename - "Dinah" - to be passed on. But after 30+ years of reflection on my part, this seems to be the only solution.

William's baptism is sourced from the IGI, which in turn has been compiled from the Biships' Transcripts. It is not in the parish register, as it doesn't start until 1714.

The Will of William BAGSHAW, of Flagg in Bakewell, yeoman, 28 Aug 1766.
Mentions wife Diana BAGSHAW, son Isaac BAGSHAW (under 21), son William BAGSHAW (under 21), daughters Mary, Nancy and Sarah BAGSHAW (under 21); brother George BAGSHAW of fflagg, and cousin Michael WHITE of Brushfield.
Witnesses: John WILKSON(sg), Isaac BROOM(X), Ann BAGSHAW(X).
Appraisers of Inventory: George WILKSON, Isaac BROOM, 1 May 1767; total £165-9-0.
I'm not sure how it is that son William is named, as the Chelmorton Parish Register indicates he was buried in 1763, three years before William's Will was made.

The parish registers of both Leek (St Edward), and Quarnford (St Paul), record that the marriage of William Bagshaw of Bakewell Parish & Dinah Moss were married at Meerbrook on 30 Apr 1752. The Leek PR records Dinah was of Alstonfield, whereas the Quarnford PR is more specific, saying she was of Quarnford. Quarnford was a township and chapelry in the parish of Alstonefield.
