family of Thomas Henry LISTER, Esq
of Armitage Park in this parish by whom this
stone is erected. J.R. was unfortunately
drowned in the Canal while returning home
on the night of September 28, 1827, 1837 or 1857 [Auth: the stonemason has made a bit
of a mess with the 2, 3, 5]
