[224] The Will of Anne MARSHALL, widow (of Clement Marshall) of Abney, dated 31 Dec 1639 names "my children Robt Marshall, Ellis Marshall, Francis Marshall: Jane Dakine, Dorathye Padleye: Elizabeth Worrall, Ales Hill, [and] Maria ABELL". Her executrix was another daughter, Anne Marshall, and the testatrix's "mynde" was that her son Robert "shall use my daughter Ann well in the house which in I now live". It is assumed this is a reference to the same Mary ABELL who married Christopher. If Anne's children are listed by age, this suggests Francis was the youngest son, and Mary the next to youngest daughter. The Hope PR has just 2 baptisms to Clement Marshall - Francis, 1610, and Anne, 1612, suggesting, perhaps that Mary was born about 1608 (or earlier). [return to Mary MARSHALL ]
